Step-by-Step Submission Guide

Step 1

Check If Your Product Already Exists on G2

Search G2.com for your product name. In many cases, G2 already has a placeholder listing created from public data. If it exists, you'll need to claim it rather than create a new one.

Step 2

Create or Claim Your Product Profile

Go to sell.g2.com and sign up for a vendor account. If your product already exists, request to claim it. If not, click "List Your Product" and fill in all required information. You'll need to provide: company name, product name and URL, category, description, feature checklist, pricing, and screenshots.

Step 3

Complete Your Product Profile (100%)

G2 has a profile completion score. Fill in every section: features, integrations, languages, deployment options, target market size, and media. Products with 100% completion rank higher in G2's internal search and category pages. Don't skip any optional fields.

Step 4

Get Your First 10 Reviews

Reviews are G2's currency. Products with more reviews rank higher, appear in Grid reports, and get more organic visibility. G2 provides tools to request reviews: email campaigns, in-app review widgets, and review landing pages. Ask your most satisfied customers first. G2 requires reviews to be verified — fake reviews are detected and removed.

Step 5

Leverage G2 Marketing Assets

Once you have reviews, G2 provides badges and marketing assets: "High Performer," "Leader," "Users Love Us," etc. Display these on your website, in emails, and on social media. They serve as powerful social proof and drive traffic back to your G2 profile.
