01 · Measure
Neutral, buyer-shaped prompts (“best X for Y”, “X alternatives”) run against each AI engine, every week, spread across the week. No product names in the prompts.
02 · Aggregate
Every product mentioned in an answer is extracted and resolved to one canonical entity. Recommendation share = the % of sampled answers in a 4-week rolling window that recommend the product.
03 · Publish
Rankings, trends, and per-engine breakdowns published as open data — these pages, CSV downloads, and a free JSON API. Free to use with attribution to orbator.io.
Full prompt design, sample sizes, and entity-resolution details in the methodology. Orbator customers are badged for disclosure — customer status does not affect measurement.
